Soundscape Project

Create a 60 second audio piece using Soundflower (or, for Windows, try Virtual Audio Cable) and Audacity. Respond to one of the places from your "Mapping My City" project and create an audio "soundscape" for that place. This does not need to be a literal sound track, but rather an expressive, personal interpretation of what that place sounds like.     i got the software working in class.. but really have no other use for soundflower or line in.... i have found everything i need on freesounds.com .....but if you really want i could install that stuff on my computer at home

    That's fine, no need to use those tools if you don't need them.

    i dont get the ideas of this assignment? are we going to reccord sounds from the internet (like youtube)? or we have to record sounds in the environment? i can record sounds in the campus lab with sunflower but i cant get it work at home (i am using windows 7) and i cant record sounds with my computer because i dont know a mic.

    Karl, for this assignment material should be found on the internet not by making field recordings. You should look at Virtual Audio Cable, linked above. Or Ellie may have some ideas, I think somebody in her Tuesday section is also using Windows at home. Otherwise, just do the assignment in the EDM lab...
